Translation
Specialised translations from German and English into French

Terminology
Creation of multilingual glossaries, specialised dictionaries and terminology databases
The creation of a terminology (e.g. using SDL MultiTerm) is highly recommended in order to consistently record the internal vocabulary of a company. In this way, industry-specific terms can be prepared for systematic reuse. The creation of a multilingual company dictionary is particularly useful when preparing extensive translation projects. Your advantage: company-specific terminology ensures standardised communication across all channels and markets.
Proofreading
Checking an existing translation for correctness in terms of spelling, typography, grammar and completeness. Readability, style and idiom (whether the text really sounds French) are also scrutinised.
Post-editing
Checking a machine translation
Comparison of the machine translation with the source text and checking for correctness. Technical and terminological aspects as well as completeness, sentence structure, grammar, spelling, hyphenation and style are taken into account.
With “Post-editing full according to ISO 18587”, the quality of the final version corresponds to the quality of a professional human translation.
Adaptation
Adaptation of a text
Adaptation of a text so that the core message elicits the expected response from the target audience or in the target country. Advertising slogans, but also all appeal-emphasising texts, require adaptation. The images suggested by a German text and the structure of the text are characterised by the customs and characteristics of German culture. The aim of the adaptation is to replace these images (idioms, jokes, puns, buzzwords, etc.) with typically French terms.
